The Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza will return to Chester Racecourse on Saturday 5 November!
Last year’s fireworks night at Chester Racecourse saw over 10,000 people visit the racecourse to enjoy the colourful displays and entertaining activities. The racecourse will also be hosting fun activities for the whole family, as well as a range of tasty treats.
Attendees can enjoy an 18-minute fireworks display, curated to a music track to make it even more spectacular. Earlier on in the evening, there will be junior fireworks display and LED light performers will provide live entertainment. There will be the fun fair located next to The White Horse, which the community has come to love in previous years. A pre-purchased early bird ticket will give you access to two funfair rides in the Dee Stand, the ticket entitles the bearer to a free ride (only one ride per ticket).
The Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza is a not-for-profit community event hosted by Chester Racecourse, the Lord Mayor and Cheshire West & Chester Council. Chester Racecourse staff and volunteers including local councillors will be volunteering on the night, providing assistance and help for the attending public and all surplus income is donated to nominated local charities.
Cllr John Leather, Lord Mayor of Chester said: “It is brilliant to see the Firework event is back for 2022. I am sure we will all enjoy the colourful display while raising much needed donations for charity. I hope to see as many people as possible attend and have a safe and enjoyable evening.”
Chester Race Company Chief Executive, Louise Stewart said: “We are delighted to be able to hold the Lord Mayor’s Fireworks Extravaganza again this year. Our staff are extremely excited to be able to put on a showstopping event with something for everyone and support our local charity sector.”
Chester Racecourse is uniquely pitched to provide the best fireworks display in the area. The large footprint of the racecourse provides ample room for attendees to enjoy the fireworks comfortably as well as unmatched facilities to enhance everyone’s evening.
