One of the world’s oldest known team sports makes an exciting return to the world’s oldest racecourse next month, as The Deepbridge Chester Polo Series for 2023 is held on the Roodee.
Offering guests the opportunity to witness the thrill of live polo pitchside, the exhibition series takes place over two consecutive days, Friday 23 June and Saturday 24 June, with general admission tickets on sale to attend the latter on Finals Day.
There’s fast-paced play in every chukka, with the worthiest contenders from across the world all fighting for the prestigious silverware and title, awarded in a Laurent Perrier Champagne-soaked presentation on Finals Day (Saturday 24 June).
Chester Polo Club has become a highlight of the Cheshire social scene as enthusiastic crowds flock to enjoy an afternoon of sport and vibrancy with great entertainment, food and drink for all the family. On finals day, there will be a range of local pop ups, music and an engaging line-up of activities for little ones.
Between chukkas, guests will also be invited to tread the divots on the field. It is a tradition at Chester for there to be a hidden silver cork on the pitch that a guest must find before the next chukka can commence. The lucky individual to find the cork will be congratulated with a prize.
For the second consecutive year Deepbridge, an investment company redefining the growth capital market, have taken title sponsorship of the tournament.
