In light of the ongoing development of the Covid-19 crisis, the British Horseracing Authority (BHA), supported by Government advice, have confirmed that there will no racing with a crowd before July.
The impact of the pandemic has had an unprecedented impact on the sport and the BHA are now working toward a resumption plan for racing behind closed doors.
To this end, the following fixtures at Chester have now been cancelled:
Roman Day – Saturday 23 May
Whitley Neill Summer Saturday – Saturday 13 June
Ladies Evening – Friday 26 June
Matthew Clark Summer Festival – Saturday 27 June
All customers who have pre-purchased tickets and hospitality to one of the aforementioned dates will be contacted directly in the coming days and in due course issued a full refund, in accordance with the company’s ticket terms and conditions.
Whilst we hope to be racing soon again at Chester, public health and safety is of the utmost importance and in turn, we will heed Government advice as it is issued and act with every precaution possible when the time comes.
Customers will be refunded the cost of their ticket(s), booking fee and any associated postage fees if applicable*.
We kindly ask that our customers refrain from contacting Chester Racecourse directly, but if do you have a query relating to your ticket purchase, please complete the contact form on the Chester Racecourse website here and quote your customer number if known.
The refund process will be operated chronologically, beginning with Roman Day purchases. We would like to thank our customers in advance for their patience under the circumstances.
*Please note that for customers who have purchased tickets to multiple fixtures (including fixtures in July, August and September), the cost of postage and booking fee will be retained.
