The Easter bank holiday will once again take place during lockdown this year – but don’t feel too down!

Whilst you’re sitting at home, now is the perfect time to be thinking about how best to celebrate the start of spring – and there is no better way than a day out at Chester Racecourse!

This April marks the beginning of the racing season with the Grand National taking place behind closed doors. After a year without racegoers, Chester Racecourse is looking forward to finally being able to welcome back its loyal visitors for a fun-filled day out at the UK’s oldest race track.

As lockdown restrictions start to lift and the weather begins to get warmer, it’s clear that friends and family are itching to meet up for some glorious days out in the sunshine. Tickets are already in high demand, with £1 million worth bought in just 12 hours!

We are one of the first to be welcoming back racegoers to the stands and tickets, and the summer season promises to bring the very best in hospitality and first-class racing to Chester. It all starts with the popular Ladies Evening on June 25th, followed by the Summer Festival at Chester Racecourse the following afternoon, on June 26th.

Plus, you might be missing out on a delicious Easter lunch with the family this bank holiday weekend, but we can help you make up for it! Visitors can look forward to more than just the exciting live entertainment at Chester Races, with some of the very best in hospitality and catering available too.

We offer a range of different hospitality packages across a range of restaurant and private dining options whether you’re looking for a fun-filled day out with a group of friends; or an intimate meal for a more special occasion.

These include our iconic 1539 Restauranta stylish, glass-fronted restaurant where you can choose from a delicious menu as well as take in breath-taking panoramic views across the entire racecourse. Or, get right to the heart of the action at our famous The White Horse pub. Located in the middle of the racing track, you can lounge there in our beautiful grassy beer garden and cheers some delicious cold beverages to cheer on the winners!

Following the June 25th and 26th meetings, there is lots to look forward to across the summer and autumn months. Tickets for all of the below fixtures are also now available:
