Newly-Merged Enclosure Offering £10 Tickets To Chester Racecourse Fixtures

Published on 1 March 2023

Chester Racecourse has merged two of its popular enclosures to create a £10 ticket offering for any race meeting this season.

A uniquely-pitched package providing access to both sides of the track, the racecourse has introduced ‘The Roodee’ ticket for 2023, which brings together the Open Course and Dee Stand.

The aptly-named ticket aims to enhance the race day experience and allow racegoers the flexibility to watch any of this season’s 15 meetings, including the Boodles May Festival, from within the centre of the track, or stand side.

Previously priced at £16 in advance to access the Dee Stand alone, the new £10 ticket is a cost-effective way to enjoy a day out at the races with family and friends, especially when children aged 17 and under can attend for free with a paying adult.

The Open Course area is an ideal space for picnics where you can relax and make a day of it, while the Dee Stand is on the outside of the track and well suited to casual racegoers and groups.

Steve Davies, Chief Operating Officer at Chester Racecourse, said:

“By combining the Open Course and Dee Stand and introducing this £10 ticket, we want to make racing more accessible and affordable for all. This entry level ticket price, alongside our existing children go free promotion, offers great value for those new to an exciting day out at the races, or returning for this season’s thrilling fixtures on The Roodee.

“Creating long-lasting memories, we want everybody to come and enjoy the unique race day and guest experience that Chester Racecourse has to offer.”
