COVID-19 Chester Racecourse Update

Published on 22 July 2021

England’s COVID-19 restrictions have been lifted and we’re thrilled to welcome full crowds back to the racecourse for the remaining 2021 fixtures.

Whilst restrictions have eased, COVID-19 infections do continue to rise in Chester and like many other businesses we are going to proceed with caution to ensure the health and safety of our customers and staff, which is always of the highest importance to us.

We are going to continue with a number of safety measures to ensure the well-being of racegoers and staff alike. These include:

  • All staff will continue to wear masks and we encourage customers to wear a face covering whilst indoors or in crowded areas.
  • Hand sanitising stations will remain in place at entrances and in high traffic areas of the racecourse.
  • We continue to keep a very high level of cleaning throughout the whole racecourse. Including fog cleaning in indoor areas, frequent cleaning of touchpoints and a cleaning attendant in the toilets.
  • A digital ticket will continue to be used to minimise physical contact.
  • We continue to ask all customers to check in on entry, and we require all lead bookers to submit track and trace information whilst booking.
