Chester Racecourse announces stellar line-up at Family Fun Day

Chester Racecourse are about to see their most popular family-friendly race day take on a festival vibe with a collaboration with ParentFolk and a stellar line up of performers and activities 

Chester Races Family Fun Day will celebrate in 2022 with a special collaboration with ParentFolk, the family space curators. Amongst the activities, the racecourse grounds will see a pop up of Rio Ferdinand’s Football Escapes – a usual feature at luxury IKOS resorts like the renowned Quinta de Lago in the Algarve.

Rio Ferdinand said: ‘Football Escapes are excited to team up with ParentFolk and Ikos Resorts for what promises to be a fun-filled afternoon at Chester Racecourse. The Family Fun Day is a popular event, and this summer we’re going to be bringing something a little different. Mums, dads and kids will get the chance to take part in our fun, interactive football challenges – with a few prizes up for grabs too.

‘Chester Racecourse is an amazing venue and there will be so much for families to see and do. The team at Football Escapes are excited to be part of the fun and help put smiles on faces with a football at their feet. It’s what we’re all about.’

The music line up is confirmed too. Alongside the already confirmed Ministry of Sound regular, DJ Beatnik, My Moozik, are confirmed who will bring adult friendly beats and kid friendly lyrics performed live by chart topper, Newton Faulkner.

Newton Faulkner said: ‘I can’t wait to get down to Chester Races family fun day, which this year has been curated by ParentFolk. I’ll be playing all the tunes from the book and album My Day! Bring your whole family, there’s songs for everyone, from hip hop to funk, soul to pop! See you there!’
