Time flies when you’re having fun… and that was certainly the case at our Liverpool John Lennon Airport Family Fun Day!
Racing and smiles went side by side as families immersed themselves in a range of amazing activities out on the Open Course.
Fun fair rides, inflatables and a giant sand pit brought plenty of enjoyment, yet it was the appearances of CBeebies favourites Bluey & Bingo that really made children’s dreams come true.
Everybody’s favourite dogs from down under popped up throughout the afternoon to say G’day and pose for photos.
On the track, racing started with a pantomime horse race raising money for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd, won by a camel called Humphrey.
When it came to the actual horses, Quinault claimed the listed feature of the afternoon, the Liverpool Airport Faster, Friendlier, Easier Queensferry Stakes, for jockey Marco Ghiani and trainer Stuart Williams. Saffie Osborne, meanwhile, rode her first Chester winner since Metier in the 2023 Chester Cup when aboard Neardown in the British EBF Newcomers Restricted Maiden Stakes.
We would like to thank our title sponsors Liverpool John Lennon Airport for supporting the raceday, as well as the European Breeders Fund and Excell Supply for supporting the card. A huge thank-you to all our guests who joined us for a fun day at the racecourse, too!
We next race here on Saturday 31 August, when three-time Brit Award nominee Ella Henderson joins us to perform live after racing at Powells Jewellery Ladies Day.
